As part of our mission to uplift widows and provide them with sustainable means of livelihood, the Ayodele Davies Foundation hosted a Widow Empowerment Program in Abuja. This event focused on providing financial assistance and offering vocational training in areas such as tailoring, hairdressing, and soap making. By equipping these women with essential skills, we aim to help them achieve financial independence and contribute positively to their communities.
Each widow in attendance received a small grant to start or expand their businesses, along with resources to guide them through the entrepreneurial journey.
Event Highlights:
- About 20 widows participated in hands-on vocational training workshops.
- Expert speakers provided tips on managing small businesses and personal finance.
- Attendees expressed their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to gain new skills and start their entrepreneurial journey.
The empowerment of widows remains one of our core goals at ADF, and we are committed to continuing these initiatives that bring hope and opportunity to women in need.
